What is “mission” all about? We hear the phrase a lot, but what does it really mean?
In a nutshell, mission is doing the stuff that Jesus did: Helping others, showing compassion, loving fully, and opening the door for God's presence and power.
Mission takes the opportunity to act. To engage. To reach out.
At Smoky Hill Vineyard, we believe that one of the main ways others will come to know Jesus is if they see Him in us. When we serve others, we show the world that Jesus is real. That He is loving. And that He is good. And the world really needs to know that Jesus is good. There is a lot of hurt out there—so we can’t just sit around, have coffee, and chat. We are called to something bigger.
