When you were a kid, what was your idea of a dream job?

I wanted to be a fighter pilot.  How bad?  I cut a piece of plywood in the shape of a plane, with a 6 foot wingspan.  I then painted it silver, added red and green navigation lights at the wingtips (using christmas lights and 9V batteries) and put it on my skateboard.  I added a tailhook and created some arresting wires (rocks and a rope) and proceeded to "land" on my aircraft carrier driveway.  Yeah, seriously.  Alas, my eyesight went bad in 5th grade and killed my dream!

What's your favorite part of the day?

I love coming home from work and greeting my lovely wife with a kiss, and having the kid's excitement to see Dad is home. I know, it won't last much longer (the kids excitement, not the kiss!)

What's you new leaf for 2012?

As we have been studying Joshua, chapter 4 has stuck out to me. It's all about remembering what Jesus has done for us in the past and passing that on to our children. My new leaf is to creatively identify ways to mark those events where the Kingdom clearly intervened and be sure to return to them often to remind myself of how great our God is!
