History of SHV

1991

Greg and June Thompson planted Smoky Hill Vineyard with a focus on the basics: the centrality
of the Bible, building healthy families, and outreach to the community.

1995

We purchased our current facility on Smoky Hill Road (a former Hugh M Woods), and became more intentional about raising up the next generation.

1997

We began more proactively to send individuals and teams on short-term mission trips, to England, India, Africa, China, Mexico, and the Middle East.

2002

The student ministry is marked by exponential growth and an average of six youth a week gave thier lives to Jesus!

2007

“SHV Loves Denver” series launched us into greater mission and focus on the city.

2009

Our mission crystallized as “Real Life, Real Community, Real Mission.”

2010

We continue to focus on the basics: Growing in relationship with Jesus, building healthy relationships and serving others..
