1. We are committed to teaching God's Word in a relevant and uncompromising way - allowing it to challenge and change us.

2. We are committed to intimate and vertically-focused worship.

3. We are committed to pursuing Jesus - being renewed daily in our relationship with Him, learning to love Him with all our heart, soul, mind, and strength.

4. We are committed to "enjoy life together" in authentic relationships (i.e. everyone in community).

5. We are committed to training people, including the next generation, to follow Jesus, to do "kingdom ministry" here at SHV and "where they live."

6. We are committed to training and sending people to plant churches and to the mission field, both short and long-term.

7. We are committed to serving those Jesus loves - the poor, those suffering injustice, those living without Jesus - responding to God's call to "throw out the net."
