Missions

Stuck in a rut? Want to jump-start your walk with Jesus—or deepen your faith? Then get involved in missions. At SHV, we are reaching out: to be the hands of Jesus to others, in our community and across the world. Whether serving locally through the NET, going on short-term trips, helping support missionaries financially, or lifting up others in prayer—missions is a way for you to catch Jesus’ heart for the nations. This is a great way to plug-in and to help others; there is no ministry training necessary, and the time commitment is very manageable.

FOOD BANK NEEDS YOUR HELP

Upcoming Trips:

INDIA AND THAILAND

We had teams go to India and Thailand, June 4-June 27.  Many of the team members participated in both legs of this demanding trip.  Thank you for keeping the team in your prayers, for their health and protection and that God would use them in mighty ways to touch hearts for His Kingdom.

The first team left Denver on Thursday morning, June 4 and arrived in Chiang Rai on June 6.  There we worked with 95 children rescued from sexual slavery and at the House of Joy Orphanage.  The children are given an education and a future as they get to know Jesus on a personal level.  We also worked with 45 Bible College students and helped with a building project in a remote village.

On Friday June 12, we traveled to Chiang Mai to work with Jay and Andrea Bransford on a variety of projects.  Jay and Andrea went out to the mission field from Smoky Hill Vineyard a couple of years ago.

On June 16 we flew to Chennai, India and worked with the India Gospel League.  IGL is involved with ministry to women and children, church planting, and medical support, etc.

On June 21 we traveled back to Chennai to work with Acts of Mercy.  This group is involved with many projects including helping widows create small businesses with which to support their families after the Tsunami.  The team will flew home June 27.
