* I will be leading a group of soldiers and Airmen deploying to Afghan this March. I would like to start a small group with the ones willing on our team. I have never led a growth group, but have led many military teams, and have found many Christians like me. I want to do this while we are overseas, but really have no idea what kind of material/lessons to teach. If you could email me some tips it would help a lot. I can’t wait to see what God will do! Thanks.

The Lord has been knocking on my door for at least a few months and I was choosing to think the knock was for someone else until this past Sunday. Greg’s sermon stirred me up with just one word: vulnerable. I have never allowed that word in my vocabulary because I always had to be strong and be a survivor. Even when I thought that I was surrendering to Jesus it was never with the thought of being vulnerable. With just one word, I was stripped, forgiven, and awakened.

So with that said, my husband and I had a long on discussion on Sunday and I am finally going to be able to put our counselor’s words into action and love my husband unconditionally. I realize we have a long way to go but I have truly placed my life and marriage back in Jesus hands with rejuvenation and excitement. I can again smell the sweet aroma instead of the stench. The past 5 days have been better then the past three months. Alleluia.
