Tell a little about yourself:
I am a former missionary kid, soccer player, and was home schooled for most of my school years. I served in the US Army for one year before becoming pregnant with my first daughter. I have been married 7 years to my best friend Eric. We have a blended family with 8 children, 5 of which are still at home. I participate in picking up day old bread for a non profit called Seek N Save and also volunteer at the Smokey Hill Vineyard food bank one day a week. I enjoy spending time with my family, cooking, and also eating out.
Random fact about me:
I was the surprise result of my parent’s “natural family planning” five years after my older sister. Apparently there was a move that got them off schedule, thank God!
Favorite quote from scripture:
The next day he saw Jesus coming to him and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”
What inspired you to do what you do:
I am completely inspired by God to do what I do. I in no way had confidence in myself to fulfill this position except that God called, prompted, and blessed me to do so.
I don’t have a favorite musician but I enjoy most worship music.
On the weekend I love…:
On the weekend I love to bargain shop and go on dates with my husband.
Book that moved you:
A book I read last year that changed me was Confessions of St. Augustine. I was completely amazed by the record of his humble and honest search for God as the result of his mother’s constant intercession for his salvation.
Best advice I ever got:
You can’t change other people. You can only change how you interact with them.
Slogan for life:
When you know better, you do better.
